History

Tracing and compiling the history of the existence of the Education Study Program Electronic Engineering at the Strata 1 (S-1) level explains to explain about the existence of this study program which is de facto and de jure already established and has held its educational program since 1961. The following is a systematic explanation of the existence of the Engineering Education Study Program Electronics in the Department of Electrical Engineering, FT UNJ, obtained from this legal document/manuscript study program.

Around the 1950s, B-I, B-II, and PGSLP were established at the level above secondary education, which was tasked with preparing teachers for secondary schools. Efforts to improve the quality and number of teachers continue through the establishment of Teacher Education Colleges (PTPG) by the government through Ministerial Decree P and K No. 382/Kab. 1954. Thus, two types of educational institutions produce teachers: B-I/B-II/PGSLP and PTPG courses. These two institutions were then integrated become an educational institutions through various stages. In 1957, PTPG integrated into the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the nearest university. Based on PP No. 51 of 1958 Faculty of Pedagogy integrated into FKIP.

In 1963, the Ministry of Primary Education established the Institute of Education Teachers (IPG) to produce secondary school teachers; temporarily based on Ministerial Decree P and K No. 6 and 7, February 8, 1961 Course B-I dan B-II is integrated into FKIP (Faculty of Teacher Training and Education) in under the Ministry of Higher Education which also produces school teachers medium. This dualism is felt to be less effective and interferes with management teacher education. To overcome this, the B-I and B-II courses in Jakarta integrated into FKIP Universitas Indonesia. During the FKIP-UI period, there were 4 (four) engineering majors, namely: Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Engineering Machines, and PKK. At that time the management of the Engineering Department was formed Electronics FKIP-UI period I (1961-1964) with the Head of the Department: Soebani dan Secretary of Department: Ir. Hendro Siddhartha.

The Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 1 of 1963 dated January 3, 1963, established the integration of the teacher education institutional system. One item in the statement of the Presidential Decree is that this decree is effective from 16 May 1964, which was later declared as the birthday of IKIP Jakarta. FKIP and IPG were changed to IKIP (Teacher and Education Institute). FKIP Universitas Indonesia and IPG Jakarta are integrated into IKIP Jakarta. The Department of Electronic Engineering is under the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Engineering (FKIT).

In the era of IKIP Jakarta, there were several changes in the name of the faculty. In the year of 1977, FKIT changed to the Department of Engineering Sciences (DIT) until 1981. In 1981 DIT changed to the Faculty of Technology Education and Vocational School (FPTK). In 1983, based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, No: 0545/0/1983 stipulates the types and quantities of majors in faculties within the IKIP Jakarta environment. Based on the decree, there was an increase in the number of majors in the FPTK environment which initially had 4 (four) majors increased to 5 (five) majors, namely: Education Department Electrical Engineering, Department of Electronic Engineering Education, Department of Education Mechanical Engineering, Department of Building Engineering Education and Department of Education Family Welfare.

In 1984, through the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture No. 112/DIKTI/Kep/1984 Determine the type and number of study programs in each department. Among others are the Department of Electronic Engineering Education which has a Study Program Electronic Engineering Education, and the Department of Electrical Engineering Education which have an Electrical Engineering Education Study Program (currently in preparation). The position of the two majors and study programs is also emphasized by the Decree of the Chancellor of IKIP Jakarta, No.2091/SP/1985 concerning the Implementation of the Study Program in the Department of the Faculty of IKIP Jakarta.

In 1995, a letter from the Director General of Higher Education was published to the Chancellor of the University/Institute, No.2055/D2/1995 dated July 20, 1995. In the letter, it was conveyed regarding the Plan for Standardization of Study Programs including Study Programs Electrical Engineering Education and Electronic Engineering Education Study Program merged into the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program, Study Program Mechanical Engineering Education, and Automotive Engineering Study Programs were merged into Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, Catering Education Study Program, Fashion Education Study Program, and Makeup Education Study Program merged into the Family Welfare Education Study Program.

In 1996, the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 242/DIKTI/Kep/1996 was issued regarding the study program at the undergraduate program in the Jakarta IKIP environment. In the decree, Existing study programs include Electrical Engineering Education Study Program, Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, Engineering Education Study Program Family Welfare Building, and Education. Starting from that SK, literally

administration of the Electronic Engineering Study Program is standardized (deleted). However related to the high demand of society for graduates as well as there is very basic difference between Electrical Engineering (electrical) and Engineering Electronics, then the Electronic Engineering Education Study Program remains to carry out its function as a Study Program within the Jakarta IKIP environment.

In subsequent developments, IKIP was given an expanded mandate to develop educational and non-educational knowledge in a forum university. IKIP Jakarta since August 4, 1999, changed to Jakarta State University (UNJ) based on Presidential Decree 093/1999 dated 4 August 1999, and its inauguration was carried out by the President of the Republic of Indonesia on August 31, 1999, on the State Palace.2 Conversion of IKIP Jakarta being a UNJ causes the names of all the existing faculties and departments to change. FPTK changed to Faculty of Engineering (FT), Department of Engineering Education Electrical changed to the Department of Electrical Engineering. While the name of the program study remains the Electrical Engineering and Education Study Program Electrical engineering.

In the period 1997/1998, the Department of Electrical Engineering Education proposed a study program accreditation proposal to BAN-PT. At that time what was proposed was Electrical Engineering Education Study Program (because those who have a program permit SK) study), with data on the actual form from two study programs (Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering). In 2000, based on the Decree of the Director General of Dikti No. 269/DIKTI/Kep/2000 concerning the types and number of Departments in the Faculty of Jakarta State University environment is redefined regarding majors who are in FT UNJ, namely: Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering and Family Welfare Department. Furthermore, the Chancellor of UNJ through his letter No. 149/PT26.H/I/2001 to the Director General of Higher Education, regarding Confirmation of The name of the study program has conveyed the name and existence of the program Electrical Engineering Education Study and Engineering Education Study Program Electronics.

During the study program accreditation extension period in 2004, again submitted for accreditation is the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program, although the data in the form comes from two different study programs. This protracted problem then has an impact on the registration of the name of the Electronic Engineering Education Study Program in the list EPSBED DIKTI which became effective in 2005. Complexity problems that arise in the Electronic Engineering Education Study Program exist on two things, namely: there is no SK regarding Program Implementation Permits Study and not yet accredited Engineering Education Study Program Electronics.

On September 21, 2007, the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 136/DIKTI/Kep/2007 concerning Restructuring and Re-assigning Permits Implementation of the Study Program at the State University of Jakarta in Jakarta, which contents re-establish only the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program S-1 level with the code 10701. On November 20, 2007, the Decree of the Director General of DIKTI No. 163/DIKTI/Kep/2007 concerning Study Program Arrangement and Codification at universities in which there are different codes for Electrical Engineering Education at the S-1 level has a code of 83-201 and Education Electronic Engineering at the undergraduate level has a code of 83-202. One month after the determination of Decree No. 136/DIKTI/Kep/2007, the Chancellor of UNJ delivered a letter to the Director General of Higher Education regarding the Request for Review of the Decree. Letter from the Director General of Higher Education No. 2421/D2.5/2008 as of September 9, 2008, explains again the existence of the Engineering Education Study Program Electronics (S1) that has not been registered with Dikti, at the same time conveying that This study program proposes a permit for the implementation of its study program to the Higher Education according to the applicable rules.

Finally, in 2009 the Minister of National Education Decree No. RI was published. 015/P/2009 date 16 February 2009 concerning State Universities (PTN) Program Organizers S1 Education for Teachers in Position, where the Technical Education Program Electronics is one of the study programs that are given the right to be involved in it. In 2008, the team led by Wisnu Djatmiko as Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering (2007-2011 Period) and Muhammad Yusro as Chair of Electronic Engineering Education Study Program (2007-2011 Period) was supported by Lecturer Team (Mufti Ma’sum, Budjari, Pitoyo Yuliatmojo, Hamidillah Ajie, Aodah Diamah, M. Ficky Duskarnaen, Widodo, Lipur Sugiyanta, and Mudiono) submit a Proposal for Re-submitting an Education Study Program Electronic Engineering FT UNJ to the Directorate General of Higher Education (Directorate General of Dikti) on December 17, 2008, followed by a letter dated June 22, 2009. The activity was carried out simultaneously with the Study Programothers that have experienced similar problems, Culinary Education, Fashion Education, Cosmetology Education, Dance, and Music Dramatic Arts Education, and Parties UNJ Chancellor appointed Muhammad Yusro to lead the team to oversee the process of applying for a permit for the 5 (five) study programs.

The team’s hard work paid off with the publication of the Letter Director General of Higher Education No. 2445/D2.2/2009 dated August 10, 2009, which contains considering the proposed opening (read: re-licensing) Program Electronic Engineering Education Studies and four other study programs. By letter Director General of Higher Education, the Electronic Engineering Education Study Program, FT UNJ was declared established on August 28, 2009. Then get a permit for Implementation of the Study Program based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 12999/D/T/K N/2012 on September 18, 2012.
