Launching and socialization activities for environmental care communities with the Dean, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta have been held in the 3rd Floor Meeting Room of the Faculty of Engineering on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 10.00 WIB. Through this environmental awareness community outreach activity, it is hoped that it will motivate the academic community and residents around the campus to pay more attention to the environment by recycling plastic waste or what is often referred to as recycle.
The opening ceremony was opened by the host of the 2020 Family Welfare Education Study Program, namely Joan Fidelis. The activity report was submitted by Mrs. Vania Zulfa, M.Pd., a lecturer in the PKK Study Program as well as the initiator of the Smart Community Cares for the Environment, Faculty of Engineering, UNJ. Mrs. Vania said that the collaboration with PT. Multi Inti Digital Lestari with the E-recycle brand is a collaboration that can have a positive impact on the Faculty of Engineering and UNJ as a whole. This activity must be followed up and supported by all parties so that this community can move, run, and contribute in accordance with the shared expectations. Furthermore, the activity was opened by remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta, Mrs. Dr. Uswatun Hasanah, M.Sc. who fully supports this activity.
The activity was continued with a brief explanation of waste, the process of sorting it out, and how to use e-recycle applications. The presentation was delivered directly by the CEO/Founder of E-recycle, namely Mr. Dicky Dwitama. E-recycle is a brand owned by PT Multi Inti Digital Lestari for the Technology-based Segregated Garbage Pick-up process which is implemented in the form of a digital application using a smartphone. Through this application, the sorted waste will be picked up at home, then weighed digitally, accurately, and in real time. The segregated waste will be replaced in the form of rewards that can be donated to NGOs that work with e-recycle. The types of waste managed by e-recycle are plastic, paper and glass bottles. PT Multi Inti Digital Lestari is here to serve the community in waste processing as an effort to help in preserving the earth.
The event ended with the announcement of the winners of the best stories chosen by e-recycle. The first winner went to Callista Chorine, who received hampers in the form of cosmetics from the Garnier brand worth Rp. 500,000. The second winner went to Mrs. Vania Zulfa, M. Pd. who received hampers in the form of cosmetics from the Garnier brand worth Rp. 350,000. The third winner went to Liony Essra Nababan who received hampers in the form of cosmetics from the Garnier brand worth IDR 250,000.
