Campus Teaching is a part of the Merdeka Campus program which aims to provide opportunities for learning and self-development outside the classroom. The program, which was launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture since early 2021, was well received by all students throughout Indonesia. Two PTB study program students were selected as lecturers in this program. One of them, Syadila Nur Haniyyah @syadila_haniyyah (class of 2017) was placed at SDN Sukasari 04, Bekasi Regency. Some of the activities that Syadila does, among others:
- Teaching grades 4 and 5 based on thematic learning materials via online and offline.
- Holding a Ramadan agenda in the form of sanlat (Islamic boarding school) and competitions consisting of a call to prayer competition, letter memorization, coloring, and quizzes.
- Plan and create a literacy corner in each class.
- Hold regular exercise before starting the lesson.
- Plan and conduct inspirational classes aimed at teachers and 6th graders.
- Opening book donations which will later be used to fill the literacy corner as a substitute for the library.
- Adding extra learning in the form of learning English.
Why in elementary school? Aren’t BEE students prepared as teachers of the Building Engineering Vocational School? This Teaching Campus Program is a service for the country. During the pandemic, our younger siblings in elementary school experience learning challenges. Likewise elementary school teachers who need to adapt quickly to technology. The point is that at this time Indonesia needs you who are young and creative!
