Rafiuddin Syam, ST, M.Eng, Ph.D is the head of the Electrical Engineering laboratory, Universitas Negeri Jakarta who only joined in August 2020. Rafiuddin Syam has been a teaching staff in the mechanical department of the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering since 1995. He was born in Tahuna 1972, a small island bordering Indonesia-Philippines, North Sulawesi province. Rafiuddin in the field of Syam completed his doctoral study in Control Engineering and Robotics at Saga university in 2005. He has been active in teaching and research in the field of control and robotics since 2000. At that time he was accepted into the Masters program in the Division of Production Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Saga University, Japan . Furthermore, in 2002, he continued his doctoral program in Control and Robotics and then returned to teach at Unhas in 2005. Research in the field of mobile robots and robotic arms is his focus, in addition to soft-computing applications for mobile and robot manipulators, such as adaptive control systems and robotics. advanced systems such as fuzzy logic systems, genetic algorithms, expert systems, and artificial networks and others.
